Food Addiction

"Let the Art Come from its Context" (Mao Tse Tongue)

Phase 1 | Interview [Revision]

I didn't end up doing this, and after getting a better understanding of what was required, I narrowed down my idea, even though all this information does relate in some way to my project.

So i ended up doing a second interview with a revised pitch. [I really hate being on camera! grrrr....]

This project focuses on what many Americans deal with, food addiction. After giving the issue some thought, I think I'm pretty addicted to ranch dressing (specially ranch dressing from Denny's), Arizona Ice Tea, and if I had to eat one food for the rest of my life, I would choose Kraft’s Blue Box Mac & Cheese (this is something that I never grew out of eating, and probably never will).

I chose the narrative requirement for this project, since I felt that I did the best with the Rolleratty video. I was fortunate enough to enlist the help of two other people, so that my entire project isn't focused on me to tell all the stories. Please read, watch, and enjoy!

Apprently I am not the only one who is a ranch addict. The baby below loves it too, along with a girl that stuffed 2 big foam things in her shirt; maybe to play off that she is a redneck? Please feel free to check those out as well.

For my 2nd installment in my food addict series, I decided to do it on Arizona Ice Tea, my best friend Danielle was a really good actress for this movie when she got into it, and turned out to be really expressive.

Check out the very funny Blooper Reel!

True life: i'm addicted to arizona tea.

15 year old kid was also very creative. There is also a weird rap song, and a guy does a spiel on how much he loves arizona ice tea... super funny... Please check them out below if you wish.

So on my BF's birthday I was able to talk him into doing this Mac & Cheese Addict video, and he did a relly great job. It was lucky that he has alot of voice experience, he has been a radio DJ among other things, not to mention he is from the midwest. He did the accent perfect.

  • Joshua Booher: It was fun. I enjoyed it. Good job.
  • Pat McCracken Janes: What an actor. I think I like this one the best. And I like mac and cheese a la mode the best.
  • Louise McCracken: LOLROF!!! Excellent! I am still giggling =)
  • Danielle Orbin: Haha I love it Lou! Great Job Dixon!

I have also put this video in response to another on youtube. Since Mittens the cat had more hits, I decided to put the response to it.

Below is two more videos, a rapper got creative, and a kid shovels mac & cheese endlessly into his mouth to a Weird Al soundtrack: pretty funny...
